
The Board of Trustees honored four winners of the 2023 #TeamSISD Winter Holiday Art Contest. The winners were selected from more than 100 entries who brought the joy of the holiday season to life in their drawings. Congratulations!


Trustees recognized students who received top honors at the 2023 El Paso Community College K-12 Salute to the Arts contest. #TeamSISD students proudly represented their schools/district that recognizes talented students for their artistic capabilities. Well done!


Board of Trustees honored winners of the annual "What's Poppin'?!?" Pop Art Contest. Students were inspired by pop art in mass culture such as advertising, comic books, animated characters, and ordinary cultural objects. Congrats to these talented students and their teachers!

Congratulations to @PHills_HS Early College High School students. Family and friends recognized 21 Spartans at tonight's stole ceremony for earning their associate degrees from EPCC while they are still in high school. Students will receive their degrees Dec. 15.


Empire Early College students celebrated a milestone achievement at this afternoon's stole ceremony. The four @EDAztecs_HS students are among early college graduates who have earned their associate degrees through the #TeamSISD and EPCC partnership. Go Aztecs!


Congratulations to @EDAztecs_HS computer science teacher Jose Enriquez for being selected a 2023-24 Hopper-Dean K-12 Fellow by @UTEPCOE. He was selected for his work to advance computer science education in the Paso del Norte region. Great job representing #TeamSISD!


Socorro High hosted stoling ceremonies to celebrate students graduating from EPCC this December. 12 Socorro Early College students and the first 6 HPA students from the TTUHSC Nursing Pipeline look forward to receiving their associate degrees on Dec. 15. Go Bulldogs! #TeamSISD

8th grade students and their parents are invited to learn about the SISD’s advanced academies and how to apply during two virtual sessions and one in-person session.
Two virtual sessions will be Tuesday, November 28 and Wednesday, November 29. An in-person presentation will be Thursday, November 30 at the District Technology Service Center, 12440 Rojas Building B. For the virtual and in-person meetings, a general session will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Individual academy talks and visits will be from 7 to 7:30 p.m.

The Board of Trustees honored the Pebble Hills High School marching band for advancing to the 2023 UIL 6A State Marching Band Championship. The marching band competed against 43 high school marching bands across Texas at the Alamodome on October 30. Congratulations, Spartans!


The Board of Trustees recognized the SISD Foundation Excellence in Education Board of Directors for raising more than $1 million in scholarship funds. This milestone was achieved at the 16th annual golf tournament in October, which raised $179,000 this year alone. Well done!


Trustees honored eight #TeamSISD school counseling teams for earning the 2023 Lone Star State School Counselor Association Award. These counseling teams made up more than half of the 11 counseling programs recognized by the state association. Congratulations!
