Free Pre-K, 4- & 3-year-old programs
SISD ensures young students receive the support and instruction they need to be successful in Pre-K and beyond with FREE FULL-DAY Pre-K for all 4-year-olds and FREE HALF-DAY for 3-year-olds who qualify.
Free College Classes
SISD gives students the opportunity to earn an associate degree or 60 college credit hours, concurrent with a high school diploma, in one of seven early college high school programs and through various degree plans at every high school.
Innovative Advanced Academic Academies
Every comprehensive high school in SISD offers a unique advanced academics academy to give real-world experiences and specialized classes and training.

Elementary STEAM Academies
The STEAM academies provide students specialized instruction in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics along with traditional core instruction in a first-of-its-kind elementary program. The innovative elementary curriculum is available at Escontrias STEAM Academy & Sierra Vista STEAM Academy.
Environmental Science Academy
The Vista Del Sol Environmental Science Academy provides students specialized instruction along with traditional core instruction to teach children to care for the earth through environmental stewardship practices and hands-on learning in a first-of-its-kind elementary program.
Elementary Fine Arts Academies
The fine arts academies provide students specialized instruction in the visual and performing arts along with traditional core instruction in a first-of-its kind elementary program. The innovative elementary curriculum is available at Paso Del Norte Fine Arts Academy & Ernesto Serna Fine Arts Academy.
Whole Child Academy
O’Shea Keleher Whole Child Academy guides students in social-emotional learning through specialized instruction along with traditional core instruction that will allow them to thrive in a competitive academic field in a first-of-its-kind elementary program.
