The Socorro Independent School District is pleased to announce the outstanding finalists for the inaugural School Support Employee of the Year program. Each of these four exceptional individuals has made significant contributions essential to our district's success.
The finalists are:
Armando Alvarez, crosswalk monitor at Loma Verde Elementary School
Francisco Felix Martinez , head custodian at Mission Early College High School
Deneé Muñoz, campus secretary at SPC. Rafael Hernando III Middle School
Jesus Salas, head custodian in the Department of Athletics
Interim Superintendent James P. Vasquez and district leaders surprised the finalists with the good news at their campuses on March 4.
SISD’s SSEOY Program recognizes outstanding education support personnel for their contributions to their schools and departments. This award honors SISD employees who consistently demonstrate exceptional customer service based on the district’s four standards – safety, professionalism, collaboration, and integrity.
Candidates were nominated by their campuses through a democratic election process conducted by the principal or director. A committee reviewed the nominations, conducted interviews with all candidates, and selected four finalists. A committee will also choose the district’s School Support Employee of the Year from the four finalists. The winner will be announced in May.
Congratulations to the finalists for this well-deserved honor. Together, we are ALL IN for student success!
