Students in grades 4th though 8th and their parents are invited to attend the Career Awareness Showcase from 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 28 at Pebble Hills High School.
Participants will learn about various programs and courses available to them in SISD, including the Aztec Architecture Academy, the Libertas Academy, the Health Professions Academy and more. Students and teachers from all of SISD’s Career and Technical Education programs, advanced academic academies, will demonstrate what they are learning and give information on their particular specialized programs of study.
In addition, representatives from businesses and industries across the city will be available to talk to students about training and education requirements for their fields of work and what those jobs/careers entail.
The event will help students get ideas about numerous careers and jobs and guide them to prepare for their future.
This year’s event will include a costume contest and a raffle where various prizes will be given away to the student participants. Please click here for more information.
