SISD employees and their families are invited to participate in the Healthy Body, Strong Mind Color 5K Run, 1 Mile Fun Walk and Health Expo from 8:30 a.m. to noon Sept. 30 at the SISD Student Activities Complex. Run/ Walk check in will begin at 7:15 a.m.
The free event will include more than 50 wellness exhibitors, live fitness classes, flu shots, raffles, giveaways, food trucks, and more.
"This event was designed to promote fitness and wellness among our SISD employees while encouraging community engagement,” said SISD coordinator of sports program, Alexia Tucker. “Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting your fitness journey, the Color 5K/1-mile walk is the perfect opportunity to challenge your colleagues in a fun and supportive environment. The Aetna Health Expo allows our employees to engage with our wellness partners and the services available to support their health needs."
