The Socorro Independent School District is committed to ensuring the safety and security of students and staff at all campuses across the district. Part of those efforts include continual review of systems in place, refining security measures and adhering to state and federal guidelines and mandates regarding school safety.
Texas Education Code 37.108 requires school districts to conduct a safety and security audit of the district’s facilities at least once every three years. To comply with the law, the SISD Office of Emergency Management is in the first phase of conducting the campus safety and security audits for our district's campuses and facilities.
Hearing from all stakeholders in Team SISD is always valued and an important part of the audit process. We are asking all students, parents, and campus employees to please participate in our brief safety survey.
The survey window will open at 4 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2022, and closes at 4 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2022. Please take a moment to complete the appropriate survey. Survey results will be used in audit reports and could be used in future emergency operations planning.
