Americas High School announced Noe Robles as the new head football coach and athletic coordinator Jan. 13 in the school’s main gym.

Blazer Nation welcomed the new coach with the school band playing, as the cheerleaders performed and student-athletes filled the bleachers holding up banners excited to welcome the school’s new leader in athletics.

“When you talk about Americas athletics there are a lot of great things already happening because of the student-athletes and the coaches they have here,” Robles said. “So, I intend to keep building on that tradition of excellence”

Robles, who has been coaching for 20 years, returns to Americas after being a defensive coordinator at Eastlake High School for the last three years.

Throughout his career he has played numerous roles including middle school coach, freshman coach, junior varsity coach, and varsity coach.

Prior to Eastlake, Robles worked as the freshman football coach for the Americas Blazer football team.

Mark Moore, a junior and multi-athlete at Americas High School, said Robles’ new role means a lot to not only the football program but the entire school.

“We believe he has great plans for us and I just can’t wait to see what he brings to the table,” Moore said.

Robles thanked both Eastlake and Americas athletics for their support, as well as Americas  High School administration, staff and students.

“You are an extension of my family,” Robles said. “Thank you for all your support, without you all I wouldn’t be in the position I am in today.”
