Financial Aid

Financial aid is available exclusively to students attending a post-secondary educational institution. This funding is used to help pay for college or career school.

What types of aid are available?

  • Grants- Free money that is based on need.

  • Scholarships- Free money that is based on talent and merit.

  • College Work Study- Money earned from a part-time job on or off campus.

  • Loans- Money that must be paid back with interest.

Financial Aid Requirement

In accordance with the Texas Education Code ยง28.0256 , each high school senior in a public school district or open-enrollment charter school in Texas, beginning with the Class of 2022, must complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), a Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA), or submit a signed opt-out form as a state requirement for graduation.
