The SISD Employee Clinic is available to employees covered by the district's health plan (Aetna). The clinic offers the following services.

• Urgent care (illness, sprains, lacerations, ear pain, pink eye, allergies, compacted ear, etc.)

• Chronic condition management (diabetes, etc.)

• Annual health screenings

• Women's health

  • Women's annual examination

  • Pap smear

  • Manual breast exam

  • Orders for mammograms if needed

• Weight management

• Sports physicals

• Injuries (orthopedic care available)

• Mental health evaluations and treatment

• On-site and in-house lab services (included in $10 co-pay)

• Multiple on-site tests available (flu, COVID-19, Strep, RSV)

• Vaccines for flu, COVID-19, and Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (whooping cough))

• On-site pharmacy with prescriptions available within the hour (generic Rx only)

• Telemedicine

The benefits for using the clinic include:

• Lower co-pays ($10 at the SISD clinic compared to $35 at other clinics)

• A centralized office

• Low wait times (average time is 10 minutes)

• On-site lab results available within the hour (not all lab analysis available)

• Specialized labs that were sent out are available within 72 hours

• One-on-one time with the provider to ask all questions

• Medical equipment (if deemed necessary) is included in $10 co-pay

• Clinic staff will communicate and schedule referrals for patients

• No need for prior authorization on prescriptions

• Orders for lab work are accepted from other clinics and doctors
