Collage of Pebble Hills Marching band performing at Rose Bowl

The Pebble Hills High School marching band rang in the new year by making history at the 2025 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, Calif. This landmark achievement marked the first time a high school band from El Paso performed in the iconic New Year’s Day parade.

The 272-member Spartan marching band, including the dance team and color guard members, proudly represented the Socorro Independent School District and the borderland community to the world. The parade drew thousands of spectators and was broadcast to millions of viewers worldwide, leading up to the 110th Rose Bowl Game on Jan. 1, 2025.

To prepare for the parade's 5.5-mile route, the band also marched down Main Street, USA, at Disneyland, making the experience even more unforgettable.

Along with marching in the parade, the band showcased their talent during Bandfest at the Pasadena City College Mack and Jackie Robinson Stadium Dec. 29-30.

Congratulations to the Pebble Hills Spartans for seizing this incredible opportunity!
