a. The teachers/staff are amazing.

c. Morning announcements=student centered

2. Safety

a. Reactions to fire alarm on Friday Aug. 4

b. Went over proper procedures

c. Drills will always have a warning: “This is a drill, this is a drill.”

d. By law, must exit building when there is a fire alarm that goes off

e. Future drills will come at inconvenient time

f. Have door cover open during the school day; may have it covered during drills.

i. Obstacles may occur during practice drills

g. When door alarms go off, check to ensure it was not a student

h. Wear employee ID on campus

i. Concern about gate closure by portables; 4th and 5th grade teachers have to out by 3:30 to not get locked in *Gates locked for campus security

3. Attendance

a. Teacher VS Student Attendance- idea was to have attendance committee come up with competition; need ideas to make it fair and fun

b. Student attendance- communicate with admin any Skyward issues; we cannot run reports on chronic absences

c. Admin is still learning how to use Skyward (be patient, they will learn)

6. Transportation

a. Bus guys have been contacted about 1st grade field trip- corn maze

7. Fundraiser

a. Parking lot fundraiser idea- to purchase front office/lobby furniture

b. $25 per parking spot

c. Will continue to fundraise to beautify our campus

d. Hawks with Hearts goal was 100- 91 have participated

e. 1st Birthday Breakfast on Fri. Aug. 25; if you miss, your breakfast will be waiting

8. CIP

a. Different campuses do have different methods on how to run CIP

b. Goal 1- under goal- performance objectives: each strategy listed for performance objective to meet goal 1

c. Went over goals, showed different strategies on how each performance objective will be achieved

i. Goal 1-4 reviewed: for each goal performance objective was covered

9. Employee Dress Code

a. Tennis shoes clarification- if you can go for a run, please stay away!

i. Vans, Keds, Comfortable shoes may be work with professional dress

b. College Thursdays- may wear t-shirt if they are dressed up or look nice
