High school students in the Socorro Independent School District are getting ready to show their school spirit this fall with various homecoming festivities. Celebrations will include dress up days, pep rallies, football games, and school dances. Parents, families, and the community are encouraged to join in the festivities. Americas High School will celebrate its homecoming week themed "Life in the Playhouse" Aug. 28 to Sept. 1.
The homecoming parade will be at 6 p.m. Aug. 30 followed by the school's annual carnival in the Americas courtyard. The homecoming pep rally will take place during 3rd period on Aug. 31. The homecoming game will be at 6 p.m. Aug. 31 at the SAC against Odessa High School. The school's homecoming dance "A Night in the Dreamhouse" will be from 8 p.m. to midnight Sept. 1 at the school. Tickets for the dance will go on sale Aug. 14 online at HomeTown Ticketing for $30.

Mon., Aug. 28 - Game Day, dress like your favorite video game.
Tues., Aug. 29 - Toy Story, dress like your favorite toy character or childhood toy.
Wed., Aug. 30 - Blazers got game, dress up as your favorite board game.
Thurs., Aug. 31 - Captain America, show your pride in action wearing red, white and blue.
Fri., Sept. 1 - Barbie & Ken, dress as your favorite Barbie & Ken.

Eastlake High School will celebrate its homecoming week themed "Upon A Time” Sept. 11 to Sept. 16.
The homecoming parade will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 13. The homecoming community pep rally will be at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 13 on the Eastlake sports field and the student pep rally will be at 10:25 a.m. Sept. 15. The homecoming game will be at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 15 at the SAC against Coronado High School. The school's homecoming dance will be from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Sept. 16 in the Eastlake patio. Tickets for the dance will be sold online at HomeTown Ticketing for $35.

Mon., Sept. 11 – Which Witch is Which, twin day.
Tues., Sept. 12 – Adventure Day, 9th-10th grade, dress as your younger self & 11th-12th grade, dress like older people.
Wed., Sept. 13 – Once Upon A Time, dress up as what you wanted to be when you were younger.
Thurs., Sept. 14 – Pinocchio Once Said, wear a white shirt with a lie on it.
Fri., Sept. 15 – Spirit Day, wear your mum, garter, or school colors.

El Dorado High School will celebrate its homecoming week with its Disney theme, "Once Upon a Homecoming," from Oct. 23 to Oct. 28.
The homecoming parade will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 25 followed by the school's tradition of the Birth of the Aztec Sun in the Marching Band parking lot. The homecoming game will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 27 at the SAC against Montwood High School. The school's homecoming dance will be from 8 to 11 p.m. Oct. 28 in the school’s courtyard. Tickets for the dance will be on sale online at HomeTown Ticketing (pricing details still to come). Honored Ex Nominations are also being accepted now through Sept. 22, deadline is at 6 p.m.

Mission Early College High School will celebrate its homecoming week themed “A Night in Paris” from Sept. 5 to Sept. 8. Please note the date for the homecoming pep rally has changed.
The homecoming pep rally will be from 2:45 to 4:15 p.m. Sept. 15 in the school’s faculty parking lot, and the school’s homecoming dance will be from 7 to 11 p.m. Sept. 8 at The Grand Palace Ballroom. Tickets for the dance can be purchased with Mr. Dungan for $35 for a single ticket or $60 for two tickets.

The school's homecoming dance will be from 8 p.m. Sept. 16 at the school. Tickets for the dance will be $35 per person and $40 per person the day of the dance.

The homecoming parade will be from 6 p.m. Sept. 27. The homecoming pep rally will take place during school hours on Sept, 29. The homecoming game will be at 7 p.m. Sept. 29 at the SAC against Americas High School. The school's homecoming dance “A Night in Gotham” will be from 8 p.m. Sept. 30 in the school’s courtyard.
