Every January the Socorro Independent School District proudly honors the members of the SISD Board of Trustees during School Board Recognition Month. This year’s theme is Locally Elected, Community Connected.
The Socorro ISD Board of Trustees consists of seven elected citizens who work with community leaders, families, and educators to develop sound educational policies that support student achievement and ensure the solvency of the district.
The SISD school board members are Board President Michael A. Najera, district at-large; Board Vice President Cynthia Ann Najera, district 2; Board Secretary Paul Guerra, district 4; Trustee Pablo Barrera, district 5; Trustee Ricardo O. Castellano, district 3; Trustee Alice Gardea, district 1; and Trustee Marivel N. Macias, district at-large.
School Board Recognition Month is a great opportunity to thank your SISD board trustee for their service and commitment to governing the school district.
Take a moment to show your appreciation and honor board trustees on social media. You can use the hashtag #SchoolBoardMonth.
The SISD Board of Trustees will be formally recognized at the Jan. 17 regular school board meeting. Read more about SISD Board of Trustees
