The Socorro Independent School District invites girls in grades sixth through 12 and their mother or mother figures to the 12th annual “Growing Together” Mother-Daughter Conference from 7:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 20 at El Dorado High School.
The goal of the conference is to help mothers and daughters bond while experiencing learning and engaging activities together. They will have the opportunity to meet various presenters and exhibitors to explore topics such as college opportunities, self-defense, social media safety, and more.
“We are happy to be hosting our annual conference for daughters and their mothers once again,” said Claudia Perales, Title I Specialist for Parent and Family Engagement in Socorro ISD. “It has become a wonderful tradition for families in our district and the perfect opportunity for them to grow together.”
The event is free, but students and their parents must register to attend. Click here to register for the conference.
A light breakfast will be served from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m. Donations of canned goods will be accepted at the door to help the community. For more information, please contact Claudia Perales at (915) 937-1605 in the State and Federal Programs Department.
