Keira Jensen, who is a junior and four-year member of the Montwood cheer team, was named to the Nfinity All-American Second Team. Jensen was among 81 cheerleaders nationwide selected for the All-American honors.

“I feel that this is an incredible opportunity for both myself and the Montwood cheer as a program,” Jensen said. “This is one of the most prestigious awards in cheerleading and Nfinity is one of the largest cheer brands in the world. I feel so honored and grateful that I was able to represent Montwood, SISD, and El Paso.”

The Nfinity All-American program identifies the top scholastic cheerleaders, irrespective of gender, who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in academics, athletics, and community engagement, according to an Nfinity press release. These athletes serve as role models for their peers and the broader community and embody the values of excellence, dedication, and sportsmanship, representing the highest standards both on and off the mat.

Jensen has been a varsity cheerleader for two years and has participated on Montwood’s National Cheerleaders Association competition team. She serves as the socials officer for the Montwood High School cheer team, organizing bonding and community service events and taking charge of social media for the team.

She also is a high-achieving academic student on track to graduate as a top student in the Class of 2025. Jensen is a member and student government association officer for the Synergi^4 T-STEM/P-TECH advanced academy biomedical pathway and an officer for the National Honor Society at Montwood. She attributes her motivation and success to her parents’ support.

“My parents have made sure to keep be grounded and humble, but to always be ambitious and strive for the best,” Jensen said. “They’ve always pushed and encouraged me to go above and beyond in everything I do, which is the main reason that I feel I was able to earn this accolade.”

She also credits her cheer coach for encouraging her to achieve success.

“Through Coach (Celia) Cadena’s support, I have realized how much I genuinely love the sport and would never trade it for anything,” Jensen said. “I’m looking forward to seeing what the upcoming season has in store for my team and me. Go Rams!”
