Credit By Exam provides students flexible acceleration testing that can be used for grade skipping, course acceleration, or course credit recovery.
CBE for high school acceleration or credit recovery will be offered during three testing windows throughout the year, see schedule below. For K-8 grade students wanting to skip a grade and seeking advance placement during the 2023-2024 school year, testing should take place late Spring, in the Summer, or early Fall of 2023 . For additional information pertaining to Credit By Exam, please contact your school counselor or administrator.
Credit by Examination Without Prior Instruction
For students wanting to advance a level or to earn credit for a course not previously taken, they must earn at least an 80 in all sections required under that grade level.
Credit by Examination with Prior Instruction
For students wanting to reclaim a credit lost for grades or attendance purposes, a student must earn at least a 70.
